Frosty’s Fun Center: Cindy Somerlott

Cindy and her husband bought Frosty’s Fun Center last June. Originally, the couple comes from Michigan but they’ve lived in the quaint town of Santa Claus for 13 years. They have four kids and 11 grandkids and love living in such a fun, family-centered place with activities like Holiday World and nearby caves. Cindy has been in the restaurant business for more than 20 years. Q: Tell us a little bit about why your family bought Frosty’s Fun Center. A: We bought Frosty’s because we knew we wanted a business in this Christmassy town. We saw a need for more restaurants and so when the opportunity came about, we jumped on it. We enjoy running our own business. Q: My favorite menu item is the buffalo chicken pizza. What’s yours? A: My favorite is the greek pizza but my six-year-old granddaughter loves the hot wings! Q: What is the most fun part about owning a “fun” center? A: The people. It’s so fun to meet all kinds of people from all kinds of places. We’ve seen a group from Oklahoma and people from New York so they’re coming in from all over! Q: Why do you think your customers keep coming back? A: Customer service. And people tell us it’s the quality of pizzas and food, too. Q: What are you looking forward to this summer season? A: I’m looking forward to all of the visitors coming to town. This will be our first full summer season as owners of Frosty’s Fun Center and we’re excited. Q: Any last thoughts to share? A: Just that we want to be a family place where everyone can have fun when they come visit… so come see us!
