Santa Claus, Ind. named one of “Travel’s Best Holiday Attractions 2014” by Travel Channel

The famous small town of Santa Claus, Indiana, is listed on Travel Channel's best holiday attractions for this year's holiday season. Travel Channel enlisted a panel of travel experts to share recommendations for Travel's Best Holiday Attractions 2014.

"We are so thrilled the town of Santa Claus is included in Travel Channel's best holiday attractions," says Spencer County Visitors Bureau Executive Director Melissa Brockman. "Santa Claus, Indiana, is such a magical place to visit, especially during the holiday season and the three-weekend Santa Claus Christmas Celebration."

• Santa Claus Village, Rovaniemi, Finland;
• Skating by the Sea, San Diego, California;
• "George Balanchine's The Nutcracker," New York, New York;
• 12 Pubs of Christmas, Dublin, Ireland;
• Sponza Palace, Dubrovnik, Croatia;
Santa Claus, Indiana;
• Reykjavik, Iceland;
• North Pole, Alaska;
• Dyker Heights Lights, Brooklyn, New York; and
• Christkindlesmarkt, Nuremberg, Germany

The town of Santa Claus was named a top Christmas destination by CNN in 2013, Hotwire.com in 2012, and Forbes Magazine in 2011.

Santa Claus, Indiana, is home to nationally known attractions such as Holiday World & Splashin' Safari and Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort.
